The Middle East is a region where car is king and fuel is inexpensive, typically leaving little reward to discover more environmentally-friendly methods of moving around.

But this year, as demonstrations throughout the Middle East have actually pressed up the rate of oil, the concern of discovering alternative sources of fuel has entered into sharp focus.

In an area that has one of the greatest carbon footprints in the world, one business is taking benefit of the growing pressure to find alternatives to oil.
